Governor 2020-21, District 7450


Kevin M. Katarynick became a Rotarian in the Rotary Club of King of Prussia in 2012 and immediately immersed himself in several duties including the Club’s membership committee, club fundraising and increasing their social media and web presence. His involvement with the Club grew deeper and he was selected as a member of the Club’s Board of Directors in 2014 and served as Club President in 2015-2016. Kevin recently joined the Paul Harris Society.

In 2014, Kevin became more involved at the District level. He was on the District Conference Planning Committees 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. He served as Area 5 Assistant Governor for two years starting in 2016. Additionally, Kevin was elected to the District 7450 Board of Directors as the Member-At-Large in Areas 4, 5 & 6 for 2017-2018 prior to his selection to be District Governor 2020 – 2021. He was also an integral contributor on the District’s Strategic Planning Committee and the District Bylaws Review Committee in addition to serving on numerous other District committees as well as co-host of the SASY awards the two years the event was held.

Kevin always strives to improve fellowship and service together by fostering new ideas while recognizing and remembering the mission of the organization. Always one to enjoy getting his hands dirty, Kevin has participated and organized numerous service projects for his club as well as organizing Area 5 Rotarians at Work Day projects; planting trees and site cleanup at the Paul Harris Memorial located in Valley Forge National Historical Park and a Rise Against Hunger event with more than 70 Rotarians packaging up more than 17,000 meals to help end global hunger.

A 1996 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Degree in Administration of Justice, Kevin was born, raised and currently resides in King of Prussia with his wife Linda (Ret SFC, USANG).

His professional career includes more than 24 years of employment in the Public Safety field, the last 21 of which are with Upper Merion Township. He is also a life member of the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company (KPVFC), with more than 24 years of service as a volunteer. During his time at KPVFC he has held the positions of President, Vice President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Currently Kevin is the Chief Operating Officer of the King of Prussia Firefighter’s Association. He was instrumental in creating this association to provide support to the members and firefighters of KPVFC through fundraising events, projects, educational programs/events and incentives as well as assist with community awareness and education towards fire prevention and safety. This Association is also the foundation support of the KPVFC 9/11 Memorial; the area’s most comprehensive testimonial to the tragedies on September 11, 2011.
